Unfriendly, arrogant new owner. Dirty dishes, dirty tables. The waitress speaks no German, so you are left standing without a word. Prices on the menu are wrong. We ordered a small piece of cake and a large one was charged. When asked, it said - "There are no small ones". You could have mentioned this when ordering. When you pointed out the dirty dishes (can happen) you are treated very unfriendly by the owner himself. In the past under the former owner, the village cafe would have got the full 5 stars Now 1 star is already too much.

It is very cozy, gives you the feeling of sitting in the living room with a loved one. They also have the best cake there

The pie / cake pieces were comparatively huge and tasted good. The service was friendly and brisk. The boss at the bar already understands the business. But the whole thing no longer seems authentic. 2 cappuccinos and 2 (very large) pieces of cake for € 17.10. I'm curious whether the café will still exist next year or whether it will be milked empty.

We have known the village café for years and were very surprised to be served 3 dry pieces of cake, probably from the day before. The commitment and friendliness of the supposed boss who served us left a lot to be desired. By the way, strangely enough, you can no longer pay by card. As school grades: service 6, friendliness 5, (oh little note is actually unimportant, partly the cutlery was dirty) taste (we can't judge because we got old cakes). We're avoiding the shop now ... What a shame

The bases of the cakes are sometimes very dry. The order at the counter in the shop is probably due to the corona situation. The cake and drinks continue to be delivered. However, payment must be made again. All in all, unfortunately, no longer comparable with the previous owners. The surcharge also mentioned by other people can also be felt. A piece of cake now costs € 5.

This was our last refuge in SPO when we wanted good and tasty cakes. The Swiss company has only been mass-producing for a long time and the Richardshof has lost a lot of quality. Now unfortunately also the village café. Where can we go now?

We tested the cakes and the Pharisee on two different days and were very satisfied both times. The pieces are very large and delicious, and the Pharisees also tasted good. There is a fairly large selection of cakes. Due to the coronavirus, the service is unfortunately a bit limited at the moment, but fortunately that doesn't affect the taste. We will be back and can recommend it.

If you like third wave coffee then this is definitely not the place to be. But if you like just a simple coffee with long lasting milk and massive slices of sweet sugary cake it is perfect for you.

The cakes are so delicious and look mega good! For this you also like to pay a few euros more. It pays to be there on time because it is popular and quickly packed
